    The event has begun and the following facts have been confirmed:

    The iPhone 5 is 20% lighter than the 4S
    LTE (4G) is confirmed as a feature of the iPhone 5
    All new A6 processor
    Improved battery life promised. 10 hours on Wi-Fi 8 hours on 4G
    iPhone 5 camera is 8 megapixel with a 2364x2448 resolution
    New reversible charger which is 80% smaller than previous version
    New Apple Maps replaces the Google alternative
    $199 for 16GB up to $399 for 64GB - no word on UK prices as yet
    Pre-order from Friday, on sale in the UK on 21 September
