Welcome to The Independent's live coverage of this second semi-final between Andy Murray and Jerzy Janowicz at Wimbledon Tennis Club.

  • Andy Murray v Jerzy Janowicz Final Score: 6-7 6-4 6-4 6-3
    • Janowicz takes the first set on a tiebreak; Murray breaks early to take the second set and an epic turnaround sees him take the third and fourth sets on way to victory
    • Play delayed while the roof closed due to poor light, infuriating Murray
    • Murray will play Novak Djokovic who beat Juan Martin del Potro
    7/5/2013 11:16:23 AM
  • Murray 6-7 6-4 4-4 Janowicz*:
The crowd have awoken, and are cheering every Murray winner as if he's won the tournament. He smashes his 15th ace of the game so far to an even bigger cheer, and Janowicz looks a little rattled when he sees a 16th go by. Surely not...another ace! His second hat-trick of aces and that's got to be one of the shortest games in Wimbledon history?!
    7/5/2013 7:28:59 PM
  • *Murray 6-7 6-4 5-4 Janowicz:
Janowicz is struggling, and it's 0-30. A chorus of boo's go up for the Pole as he turns into the pantomime villain, and Murray has three break-points! He doesn't capitalise on the first, but powers to the second and breaks Janowicz's serve again! What a turnaround!
    7/5/2013 7:32:11 PM
  • Murray 6-7 6-4 6-4 Janowicz*:
Serving for the game, Murray sends his serve out wide to open the court for the next shot, which he takes easily. A small mistake gives Janowicz a point, but he makes a bigger one when he drills the ball just wide by the smallest of margins. Janowicz challenges the next serve, an it's a mile in for Murray, and he moves to set-point when his opponent goes long...he's got it! Has he?! NO! The ball hits his body to go over the net, and Murray plays fair conceding the point despite the crowds celebrations. Nevertheless, and ace sees him home and MURRAY TAKES THE THIRD SET!
    7/5/2013 7:38:23 PM
  • Madness has ensued, as the umpire has decided to close the roof causing a 20 minute delay. In the ascendancy, Murray is furious that this is happening, considering Janowicz has been complaining to keep about the roof all game. Both players leave the court, but this decision has certainly been influenced by Janowicz's whinging. So we've got a break on our hands, lets's have a recap of the day so far...
    7/5/2013 7:42:31 PM
  • People are asking why the roof needs to be closed just to put the lights on. It seems the light around the court aren't enough, and the umpire has chosen now as a good time to close it to use the extra lights in the roof. Controversial to say the least.
    7/5/2013 7:46:21 PM
  • Murray went on a lengthy rant while the decision was being announced, and was fuming as he left the court. Understandably so, as he had Janowicz on the ropes, and he could have easily had the game finished before the light had faded.
    7/5/2013 7:47:45 PM
  • As things stand, with the roof closed play can continue till the 11pm cut-off. Put the kettle on folks, we could be in for a late-one!
    7/5/2013 7:48:21 PM
  • Now for that round-up. Novak Djokovic came through an absolute epic against Juan Martin del Potro 7-5 4-6 7-6 6-7 6-3 to reach his second final, having won it in 2011. And in the junior semi-finals, Britain's Kyle Edmund was defeated 6-4 6-4 by Gianluigi Quinzi of Italy.
    7/5/2013 7:51:13 PM
  • We weren't sure how this semi-final could live up to the first, but my how it has already!
    7/5/2013 7:51:40 PM
  • What do you think about the roof being closed? Let us know by clicking the 'Make a comment' button and we'll post them
    7/5/2013 7:52:31 PM
  • Just to keep you up-to-date on the situation, the roof is already closed, but now the ambient temperature must be controlled before they return to court. We should be back underway in around 10 minutes if all goes according to plan, but I won't be jumping to any conclusions after what we've seen!
    7/5/2013 7:54:39 PM
  • Murray was far from amused with the decision after being told of the decision by Championship referee Andrew Jarrett

    7/5/2013 7:56:47 PM
  • Right then, the players are back out, the roof is closed, the temperature is just right (as the procedure goes) and we're ready to get back underway. To recap, Murray leads two sets to one, it's Janowicz to serve first, Murray has won five games in a row and he's not a happy bunny. Got it?
    7/5/2013 8:00:17 PM
  • Do you think the roof will effect the game?
And Nathan is asking the questions that really matter...

    7/5/2013 8:01:45 PM
  • @Wimbledonroof: Well, I'm closing whether you want me or not. Ready or not, here I come... #roofinaction
It's a talented roof this one, closing an tweeting at the same time...
    7/5/2013 8:05:18 PM
  • A still far from impressed Murray is ready to continue as is Janowicz, and after a 24 minute delay, WE'RE BACK UNDERWAY!
    7/5/2013 8:06:36 PM
  • *Murray 6-7 6-4 6-4 0-1 Janowicz:
The break doesn't seem to have distracted Murray, as he battles out to a 15-30 lead. But Janowicz finds one of his monster forehands and Murray's defensive lob drops long. A poor return hands Janowicz the next point, and he holds serve when Murray hits long.
    7/5/2013 8:09:20 PM
  • Now we'll see if the break has got to Murray, though he remains just one set away from the Wimbledon final.
    7/5/2013 8:10:00 PM
  • Murray 6-7 6-4 6-4 1-1 Janowicz*:
He looks to be just fine, racing to 40-0 with three errors from Janowicz. A fourth error gifts Murray the game, and everything's back to normal. Let's just all forget about the roof drama shall we? I imagine it won't be the last we hear of it...
    7/5/2013 8:12:38 PM
  • *Murray 6-7 6-4 6-4 2-1 Janowicz:
Murray hits a beautiful passing winner to start the game and reengage the crowd. Janowicz then hits into the net after telling the crowd to 'shhh', but responds with an ace in terrific fashion. Double-fault! Murray has two break-points...but he serves the first after forcing Murray to defend for his life with a thunderous volley. The second...is good! MURRAY BREAKS JANOWICZ after he hits into the net!
    7/5/2013 8:16:08 PM
  • Janowicz paces to his chair and throws his towel over his head, distraught with himself. Is there any way back for the young Pole?
    7/5/2013 8:17:20 PM
  • Murray 6-7 6-4 6-4 3-1 Janowicz*:
A winner and another unforced error from the number 22 seed takes Murray to 30-0, and an unreturned serve is followed by an ace to see out the game. Tremendous stuff this from the Brit, as his serve is taking Janowicz apart.
    7/5/2013 8:19:59 PM
  • *Murray 6-7 6-4 6-4 3-2 Janowicz:
Good play from Janowicz, and it's a reminder that he's not done yet. He thinks he's got the point with a serve-and-volley, but just needs a second volley to move to 40-0. But another double-fault comes and he's not happy. He then challenges an out call on his serve, and he's vindicated as it catches the line. But Murray takes the next point for 40-30. Brilliant! Murray reads Janowicz and sends a beautiful passing shot to level to deuce. But Janowicz survives to hold serve. The tension is slowly reaching boiling point here on Centre Court.
    7/5/2013 8:24:42 PM
  • Murray 6-7 6-4 6-4 4-2 Janowicz*:
Another ace for Murray - his 20th -  takes him to 30-15, and Janowicz makes yet more errors to give Murray the game. The crowd are cheering anything and everything now, and Murray moves a step closer to the final.
    7/5/2013 8:28:32 PM
  • *Murray 6-7 6-4 6-4 4-3 Janowicz:
Some resilience from the Pole, and he serves out a game to love as if to demonstrate he still has enough power to trouble Murray.
    7/5/2013 8:29:54 PM
  • Murray 6-7 6-4 6-4 5-3 Janowicz*:
Murray lands a marvellous half-volley that swings away from Janowicz. We're then treated to volley ping-pong, as the pair trade five volleys before Murray smashes through Janowicz and fist-pumps to the crowd. Spine-tingling! But Janowicz puts an end to the celebrations by taking the next point as Murray struggles to return a belting forehand. Nevertheless, it's game Murray and Janowicz will serve to stay in the match.
    7/5/2013 8:34:24 PM
  • *Murray 6-7 6-4 6-4 6-3 Janowicz:
MURRAY WINS: Janowicz reads Murray's fake perfectly and positions himself to just tap the ball over the net - you have to applaud that one. A tenth double-fault though lets Murray in at 30-30, and it's followed by another double-fault! Match-point Murray...AND HE'S DONE IT! ANDY MURRAY IS THROUGH TO THE WIMBLEDON FINAL!
