Keep an eye on the down-ticket results from New Hampshire. Maggie Hassan has won the governorship - and if the two House seats go to the Democrats (Anne McLane Kuster in the 2nd Congressional District and Carol Shea-Porter in the 1st District) then as the folks at Politico pointed out the other day, the state, which has already sent two women to the Senate, would be the first to have an all female political top brass. 

I just managed to sneak into the ballroom where Romney's donors and campaign staff have gathered. About 500 guests are there, in their finery. The atmosphere is best described as a mixture of denial and disbelief. Denial because they're still clinging to the hope that Mitt can pull out a victory in Florida (Obama is ahead, and largely Democrat counties remain to be counted). Disbelief because they simply didn't think they'd be in this position. Common talking points: that the "mainstream media" were in the tank for Obama, that electoral fraud is rife, and that this is a country they simply no longer understand.
