UFC 194 LIVE - Connor McGregor vs Jose Aldo

Up next it's Maia vs Nelson. Expect plenty of grappling in this fight with both experienced technicians. May not set the arena alight, but plenty of skill to be on show for sure
    12/13/2015 3:44:47 AM
Both fighters in the cage now, just the introductions from Bruce Buffer and then we'll be underway with the second fight of the main card
    12/13/2015 3:51:38 AM
And here we go. Big John McCarthy the referee of this bout. It's Maia vs Nelson, time to grapple!
    12/13/2015 3:53:24 AM
Round 1: The fighters tie up within seconds and Nelson gets Maia down but not for long.
    12/13/2015 3:53:59 AM
Round 1: Maia goes for a takedown but Nelson lands on top. Maia has Nelson's left leg trapped in an awkward position, though.
    12/13/2015 3:54:57 AM
Round 1 Maia has Nelson's back with both leg hooks in, Nelson trying to shake him off but ends up mounted
    12/13/2015 3:55:47 AM
Round 1: Nelson in a terrible position here with plenty of time left in the round. Maia is a world champion BJJ specialist, going to take a lot for him to give up this spot.
    12/13/2015 3:56:40 AM
Round 1: Maia very high up on Nelson's back and nearly loses position, but a switch to a body triangle re-establishes position and Nelson once again desperately defending
    12/13/2015 3:57:24 AM
Round 1: Maia fought hard for an armbar and in doing so gives up position to Nelson. Not enough time for Gunnar to take advantage, though
    12/13/2015 3:58:37 AM
Round 2: Gunnar's showing more signs of wear from the first than Maia, with some bruising and swelling over the eyes. Battle for position continues right from the off
    12/13/2015 4:00:42 AM
Round 2: Nelson risks a point deduction with his grabs of the cage, the only thing that delayed Maia taking him down. Maia has Gunnar's back with three minutes left.
    12/13/2015 4:01:29 AM
Round 2: Nelson is taking severe damage from Maia's punches and elbows, going into survival mode and is looking to cover up and roll out, which he does successfully to take top position in Maia's open guard.
    12/13/2015 4:02:48 AM
Round 2: As quick as Nelson gets on top, Maia gets the sweep, back as you were
    12/13/2015 4:03:29 AM
Nelson has landed less than ten strikes in this entire fight. Ouch.
    12/13/2015 4:03:53 AM
Round two ends and Damian Maia is looking utterly dominant. Looks like he's sucked the fight out of Nelson at this point. All he needs is more of the same in the third and it's a comfortable victory.
    12/13/2015 4:05:11 AM
Round 3: Damian attempts a takedown early but Nelson scrambles and looks for a guillotine, fails, and gives Maia top position
    12/13/2015 4:06:31 AM
Round 3: Maia continues to assert his dominance and Nelson is taking savage elbows from the bottom. Pride is the only thing keeping Gunnar in this fight
    12/13/2015 4:08:04 AM
Round 3: Maia has Nelson's back once again with a body triangle. Just surviving until the end now for Nelson.
    12/13/2015 4:09:03 AM
One of the easiest decisions the judges will have to make this evening. Only question is whether or not any one of the rounds was a 10-8
    12/13/2015 4:10:46 AM
Damian Maia wins via unanimous decision (30-26, 30-25, 30-25), an absolute mauling.
    12/13/2015 4:12:13 AM
Maia states his desire for a title shot. After that performance it's hard to say no, he was truly dominant.
    12/13/2015 4:14:31 AM
The next match could be the fight of the night: Jacare Souza vs Yoel Romero could include some devastating highlights
    12/13/2015 4:19:13 AM
Romero's cartwheel and backflip into the ring is just showing off. The thought of him getting an injury like that, at that moment, I think would make Dana White's head explode.
    12/13/2015 4:25:55 AM
We're down to the last three fights of the night, let's hope they live up to all the hype
    12/13/2015 4:28:05 AM
Round 1: Romero circling the outside of the cage while Souza follows, planting his feet as soon as he gets in range. A couple of body shots from Souza look to land with power but Romero doesn't look fazed.
    12/13/2015 4:30:45 AM
Round 1: Romero keeping himself busy and elusive on the outside, jumping around and staying a hard target to hit. Not much has landed from either fighter
    12/13/2015 4:32:04 AM
Round 1: Spinning back fist from Romero lands flush on Souza and he goes down! But then he taunts Romero to come to the deck, Romero obliges and Souza takes a bit of punishment as he regains his senses
    12/13/2015 4:32:55 AM
Round 1: Less than a minute left and Souza is taking damage on the bottom but showing how suddenly he can throw up submission attempts
    12/13/2015 4:33:36 AM
Romero wins the first thanks to a single punch that takes the fight up a gear. Souza slow to get up to his feet at the bell. He looks like he's still dazed, not walking right at all
    12/13/2015 4:34:19 AM

Doctor comes over to Jacare's corner to take a closer look at him and make sure he's ok to continue. The crowd yells in a unanimous wince as we're shown the slow motion replay of the spinning back fist that knocked Souza to the ground
    12/13/2015 4:35:07 AM
Round 2: Souza still doesn't look right, very flat footed in the start of this round. Romero taking his time to pick his shots, not willing to risk a silly mstake
    12/13/2015 4:36:00 AM
Round 2: Romero is looking supremely confident in the cage. Light on his feet and bouncing around. Not thrown anything yet.
    12/13/2015 4:37:42 AM
round 2: Strong refereeing from Goddard as Romero grabbed the fence to avoid a takedown and ended up gaining top position, Goddard stopped the bout and brought the contest back to its feet to negate the unfairly-gained advantage. Great stuff
    12/13/2015 4:39:05 AM
Pretty quiet second round, but Souza looks back in the game and Romero is breathing heavy in the corner.
    12/13/2015 4:41:15 AM
Round 3: Another slow start as both fighters unwilling to throw much. Romero inexplicably drops to one knee and nearly says hello to a Souza front kick
    12/13/2015 4:43:31 AM
Round 3: Souza opening up on Romero as he backs up against the cage and Jacare finally gets a takedown
    12/13/2015 4:44:49 AM
Round 3: Souza doing little damage from the top and ignoring opportunities to advance position, opting instead to punch Romero's leg
    12/13/2015 4:46:28 AM
Bit of a disappointing fight, result could go either way with Romero dominating first and Souza third, all comes down to how judges score slow second.
    12/13/2015 4:47:14 AM
All three fights on the main card so far going to a decision. Fans will start screaming for a finish soon, especially those staying up late to watch this card
    12/13/2015 4:47:56 AM
Romero gets the split decision, next we have the title fight between Weidman and Rockhold. Let's hope we get the first stoppage of the main card
    12/13/2015 4:51:57 AM
Two fights left, both for the title, it's time for the serious stuff. Let's hope we get some amazing highlights
    12/13/2015 4:56:58 AM
Do they knw what time it is in the UK? Let's get these fighters in the cage!
    12/13/2015 4:58:42 AM
Rockhold making his way into the cage, looks pretty relaxed
    12/13/2015 5:02:44 AM
Weidman in the ring now, we're moments away from the fight, let's get it started!
    12/13/2015 5:06:18 AM
Both fighters doing their final warm-up routines as Bruce Buffer handles the introductions.
