  • Hello and welcome to live coverage of the 2015 Wimbledon men's singles final between No 1 seed Novak Djokovic and No 2 seed Roger Federer.

Unfortunately Andy Murray fell to the greet Swiss in Friday's semi-final, Federer rolling back the years to produce a flawless performance that will go down as one of his best ever.

Novak Djokovic had a slightly easier time against the over-matched Richard Gasquet, but was impressive nonetheless.

The match is due to start at 2pm.

  • Wimbledon 2015: Novak Djokovic into Sunday's final after easing past Richard Gasquet

The IndependentThe Centre Court crowd, unsure quite how long they wanted yesterday’s first semi-final to keep Andy Murray waiting, eventually rose to cheer off Richard Gasquet, for some shots to remember, and Novak Djokovic for reaching his fourth Wimbledon final with an increasingly dominant performance.

  • Andy Murray falls to brilliant Roger Federer who rolls back the years to set up Wimbledon final against Novak Djokovic

The IndependentDefeat is never easy to take, especially in a semi-final, but Andy Murray should take comfort from the fact that he was beaten here last night by a stunning display from the greatest player in history. For years now we have been wondering whether we have already seen the best of Roger Federer, but his 7-5, 7-5, 6-4 victory over Murray was surely as good as almost any performance from his remarkable career.

  • Wimbledon 2015 - Nick Bollettieri: Why Novak Djokovic is the perfect tennis machine

The IndependentAs I travel the world representing the IMG Academy Bollettieri Tennis Program, I am often asked who, in my opinion, is the best player ever in the history of tennis. I will not answer this question here but I will go on the line to describe who I believe is the most perfect tennis machine, similar to the F-18 navy fighter jet.

  • Nick Bollettieri: Roger Federer on Friday was the best tennis I’ve ever seen

The IndependentThe final will be watched by just about every tennis fan in the world and it could be a classic. Novak Djokovic has no weakness. But in 60 years I've never seen anyone play as brilliantly as Roger Federer did against Andy Murray on Friday.

  • Roger Federer defies time and ignores fear to paint masterpieces

The IndependentTime is a tyrant, unforgiving and ultimately irresistible. Roger Federer has transformed it into a compassionate mistress, prepared to postpone the reckoning which afflicts even the greatest athletes.

  • Roger Federer looks to go back to the future in Wimbledon final

The IndependentRoger Federer knocked out Pete Sampras in the seven-times champion's penultimate Wimbledon, beat Andre Agassi in the American’s last Grand Slam final, saw his contemporary Andy Roddick into retirement and is still challenging for the biggest prizes at a time when Rafael Nadal, the young upstart who for years challenged his position at the top, has begun to look like a spent force.

  • Don’t cross Novak Djokovic – or you’ll have his dad to answer to

The IndependentA supportive father is something everybody wishes to have. But sometimes even the best of them can take matters too far. Srdjan Djokovic is known to be not just the proud father of the defending champion Novak Djokovic but a proud Serbian too, and his nationalism is most often on show through the prism of his son’s exceptional tennis.

  • Federer and Djokovic are out in front of a packed Centre Court that includes Sherlock Holmes (Benedict Cumberbatch), Hugh Grant and Bradley Cooper.

  • Fans favourite Federer has won the toss and decided to serve first.
    7/12/2015 1:05:31 PM
  • Heading into this game Federer has been absolutely imperious - he's only dropped one set during the whole tournament (Djokovic has dropped two), his first serve has been around 70 per cent accurate, he's had just five double faults and he's been on court for more than three hours less than his opponent.

Nine hours 58mins compared to 13 hours five mins for Djokovic.

  • It's meant to rain a little bit later on - at around 3.30pm.

  • Here we go. Federer to serve and Djokovic returns out of bounds, 15-0.

  • LATEST SCORE: Djokovic 0-1 Federer*

It seems as if that service game that was so dominant in beating Murray on Friday has returned for this match.

Djokovic is only able to return on one of the four points and Fed wins a quick game quite easily.
    7/12/2015 1:11:12 PM
  • LATEST SCORE: Djokovic* 1-1 Federer

Djokovic holds serve but he was certainly given more trouble than when he was returning, despite being arguably the best returner in the game.

  • LATEST SCORE: Djokovic 1-2 Federer*

Federer holds, dropping a couple of points after some impressive returning by the Serb. The Swiss just had a wobble at 30-30 but finished strongly.
    7/12/2015 1:18:05 PM
  • LATEST SCORE: Djokovic*2-2 Federer

Another game that goes to 30-30 but Federer hits a couple of unforced errors, the first a backhand that hits the net and on game point he puts a bit too much juice into a forehand and it goes long.
    7/12/2015 1:22:59 PM
  • LATEST SCORE: Djokovic 2-3 Federer*

No such problem with his service game, however. As he doesn't drop a single point in that game. 80 per cent accuracy on his first serve and he's yet to lose a point on second serve.

Like Murray, Djokovic needs Federer to drop his level to have a chance in this match. He's playing at a ridiculously high level at the moment.
    7/12/2015 1:25:09 PM
  • LATEST SCORE: Djokovic* 2-4 Federer

FEDERER BREAKS! Wow, poor game from Djokovic who fails to win a single point, hitting an error along the way. Federer looking much better right now.
    7/12/2015 1:26:59 PM
  • LATEST SCORE: Djokovic 3-4 Federer*

DJOKOVIC BREAKS! Huge game from Djokovic who goes deep into his bag of tricks to turn it up a notch and comeback against the Swiss. Couple of brilliant rallies amongst that one as well, impressive stuff from the World No 1 who storms right back into the set.
    7/12/2015 1:30:19 PM
  • LATEST SCORE: Djokovic* 4-4 Federer

As quickly as it looked like Federer had taken control of the set Djokovic is back on terms. Impressive couple of games with the Serb barely breaking a sweat; an ace and some highly accurate first serves that Federer never had a chance to return.

  • LATEST SCORE: Djokovic 4-5 Federer*

Federer comes back to hold serve, with another couple of aces and even a 120mph second serve in that game. No fuss from the Swiss master.

This one is going to be so hard to call.
    7/12/2015 1:36:16 PM
  • LATEST SCORE: Djokovic* 5-5 Federer

Two aces from Djok to set the tone in that game before a lovely rally earns Federer a point. But the No 1 comes back to take the game easily. This one looks like it's heading for a tie-break, probably a long one at that.

    Some brilliant tennis so far.
    7/12/2015 1:39:38 PM
  • LATEST SCORE: Djokovic 5-6 Federer*

Beautiful stuff from Federer to win that game, couple of lovely drop shots that Djokovic has no answer to. Big game coming up now.

Novak Djokovic jumps out to an early 3-0 lead...

  • LATEST SCORE: Djokovic 7-6 Federer

SET DJOKOVIC! Brilliant, two set points down just a game ago Djokovic battles back to take the set relatively easily, taking it 7-1. Djokovic has the first set and perhaps the mental edge going into the next one, until that tie break Federer had been flawless but a his service game just dropped a bit when it really mattered.

  • LATEST SCORE: Djokovic* 7-6 1-0 Federer

Quick game from Djokovic, who has now won 14 of the last 15 points. Massive game coming up for Federer now, he has to impress here.
    7/12/2015 1:58:44 PM
  • LATEST SCORE: Djokovic 7-6 1-1 Federer*

He does. Brilliant first service and he doesn't drop a point, hitting his mark with all of his first serves - Djokovic didn't have a chance at all.
    7/12/2015 2:00:30 PM
  • LATEST SCORE: Djokovic* 7-6 2-1 Federer

On we go as Djokovic again holds without getting into too much trouble.

It's not too much of a stretch but I'm predicting another tie break.
    7/12/2015 2:03:36 PM
  • LATEST SCORE: Djokovic 7-6 2-2 Federer*

Game Federer but an interesting stat we've just come across, Federer now has 15 unforced errors - including two in that game - to just three(!) to Djokovic.
    7/12/2015 2:06:37 PM
  • LATEST SCORE: Djokovic* 7-6 3-2 Federer

Djokovic digs deep to once again hold serve, saving his third and fourth break points of the match so far. Federer had a couple of chances but Djokovic really came up trumps when he had to on those break points, never giving Federer a chance to take advantage.

Scintillating stuff from the pair. The momentum definitely seems to be edging to Djokovic right now.
    7/12/2015 2:10:10 PM

  • Roger Federer has had four break points but hasn't been able to convert any of the (Getty Images)

    7/12/2015 2:16:48 PM
  • LATEST SCORE: Djokovic 7-6 3-3 Federer*

Federer holds again with more strong serving. He doesn't look like being broken anytime soon but neither does he look like taking a game off of Djokovic.
    7/12/2015 2:18:56 PM
  • LATEST SCORE: Djokovic* 7-6 4-3 Federer

Federer had a bit of trouble getting the ball back in that service game, Djokovic eases out another win. So finely poised at the moment.
    7/12/2015 2:22:02 PM
  • LATEST SCORE: Djokovic 7-6 4-4 Federer*

Another game to the server, Federer only drops one shot (a brilliant winner from Djokovic) but hits a couple of aces along the way. Nothing between these two at all.
    7/12/2015 2:24:39 PM
  • LATEST SCORE: Djokovic* 7-6 5-4 Federer

At the risk of repeating myself, Djokovic easily wins his service game dropping just one point along the way. Both players are serving so well that there isn't a hope of the other breaking a game.
    7/12/2015 2:27:18 PM
  • LATEST SCORE: Djokovic 7-6 5-5 Federer*

Huge game from Federer - who had a real wobble with a couple of poor serves in that game, facing a set point! But he fought back brilliantly, with one forehand and volley even earning some applause from the man down the other end.

    7/12/2015 2:29:50 PM
  • LATEST SCORE: Djokovic* 7-6 6-5 Federer

What a brilliant, brilliant, brilliant game that was! Federer got to break point and had a real chance to break Djokovic. But the world no 1 fought back and the game eventually went to deuce five times before he could put away the Swiss.

Federer made a couple of errors in that game but this is some of the best tennis you are ever likely to see, both players are playing at an unbelievably high level. Stunning.
    7/12/2015 2:33:54 PM
  • LATEST SCORE: Djokovic 7-6 6-6 Federer*

Another Federer wobble but he just about manages to hold on to force another tie break. Djokovic had a couple of opportunities to put that game to bed but didn't rake them.
    7/12/2015 2:45:03 PM

  • LATEST SCORE: Djokovic 7-6 6-7 Federer (tie break)

SET FEDERER: Djokovic had his chances but wasn't able to put it away, this is some of the best tennis that you will ever hope to see. Momentum firmly back with Federer but just sit back and enjoy.
