  • First up today, Hull play Man City who have ground to make up in their title campaign. You can see a preview of all the action HERE
    3/15/2014 12:24:43 PM
  • First up this afternoon we have Manchester City’s visit to the KC Stadium to meet Steve Bruce’s Hull. The Home team will be buoyed but their last outing when they swept aside Sunderland 3-0 to reach their first FA Cup semi-final in 84 years.

On the other hand it’s been a wretched week for City after being dumped out of the cup by Wigan for the second successive year and their systematic removal from the Champions League at the hands of Barcelona.

    3/15/2014 12:29:45 PM
  • Team news:

Sergio Aguero misses out with hamstring injury suffered at the Nuo Camp on Wednesday and Martin Demichelis comes back in to replace Jeleon Lescott after his torrid night against Lionel Messi.

For Hull, James Chester makes his first start since January and both Shane Long and Nikica Jelavic come back into the starting line up after being cup tied against Sunderland.

Hull City: McGregor, Elmohamady, Figueroa, Davies, Rosenior, Chester, Livermore, Huddlestone, Meyler, Jelavic, Long

Manchester City: Hart, Zabaleta, Kompany, Demichelis, Clichy, Fernandinho, Javi García, Silva, Yaya Touré, Nasri, Dzeko

    3/15/2014 12:32:01 PM
  • It's a bright sunny day at the KC, the teams are ready, we're ready, let's go.
    3/15/2014 12:45:14 PM
  • Jam packed day all round in the Premier League today with eight games to be played on this fine Saturday afternoon, some key match ups in the mix too.

Norwich and West Brom both have tough away assignments to deal with and Fulham meet the newly Pardew-less Newcastle.

There's a ding-dong relegation battle to be had at the Stadium of Light as Sunderland face off against Crystal Palace.

And elsewhere Stoke meet West Ham, Southampton are hosts to Norwich and in the late game current league toppers Chelsea go to Aston Villa.
    3/15/2014 12:52:18 PM
  • Hull 0 Man City 0: We're underway then in Hull and it's the home side who start the brighter.
    3/15/2014 12:53:51 PM
  • RED CARD: A bad week for City has just got even worse. Vincent Kompany slips on the edge of the box as he battles with Jelavic, bringing down the Hull man and seeing Lee Mason's red when he picks himself back up.

    Awful start for Pellegrini's men.
    3/15/2014 1:00:28 PM
  • GOAL! Hull 0 Man City 1: Awful start?! Rubbish! David Silva puts the ten men ahead.
    3/15/2014 1:01:52 PM
  • Hull 0 Man City 1: Fantastic goal from the Spanish maestro, taking a touch to set himself up and smashing past McGregor, who has no chance of keeping that one out. Great response from City, the stuff of Champions??
    3/15/2014 1:03:49 PM
  • Hull 0 Man City 1: As you would imagine, Hull are having the lion share of possession now with the extra man but what can do they do with it?
    3/15/2014 1:09:06 PM
  • Hull 0 Man City 1: Jeleon Lescott must be itching to get on and fill the Kompany sized hole that has been opened. Pellegrini seems happy to keep things as they are for now and why not given the response he's seen from his players.
    3/15/2014 1:14:15 PM
  • Hull 0 Man City 1: So half hour gone by at the KC and only the one shot on target thus far, that one being Silva's superb strike, of course.
    3/15/2014 1:17:42 PM
  • Hull 0 Man City 1: City so close to making it two! Pablo Zabaleta fires a bullet of a shot from outside the box which thunders down off the bar but not over the line. 2-0 to the good for the away side would have left a mountain for Hull to climb, even with the extra man, but not to be.
    3/15/2014 1:21:26 PM

  • Vincent Kompany (not pictured) is sent off

    3/15/2014 1:26:37 PM
  • Hull 0 Man City 1: Fabulous goal from David Meyler is chalked off because three Hull players in offside positions and blocking off Joe Hart's vision. To not allow a great strike to stand is a shame but to not allow us to see Meyler's head-butt celebration again is downright criminal. To be fair to linesmen it was the correct decision.
    3/15/2014 1:29:06 PM
  • Hull 0 Man City 1: Coming to the end of the first half here and Hull go close. Jake Livermore this time letting fly from all of 30 yards out but it just swerves past Hart's post. Good effort, probably Hull's best so far.
    3/15/2014 1:32:59 PM
  • Hull 0 Man City 1: That'll do it at the KC then and the teams go off for the break. Good game here and it's all up for grabs still with Hull starting to make inroads towards the end of the first half. The home team need the points, City need them too, so should be a cracker in the second half.
    3/15/2014 1:37:08 PM

  • David Silva celebrates putting ten man City ahead

    3/15/2014 1:40:58 PM
  • Hull 0 Man City 1: Looking back on Kompany's red card, it does seem a touch harsh but understandable from referee Mason. Jelavic appears to foul the City man first before being brought down. Kompany takes out his frustrations on the tunnel wall has he goes off, bit naughty!
    3/15/2014 1:44:42 PM

  •  Kompany's red card challenge but it looks like Jelavic might have been guilty of fouling first

    3/15/2014 1:47:15 PM
  • All the team news from around the country coming up on a packed day of Premier League action.
    3/15/2014 1:48:35 PM
  • Hull 0 Man City 1: It looks like Steve Bruce is going to go for it in the second half by making a substitution at half time and bringing Sone Aluko on for Maynor Figueroa.
    3/15/2014 1:50:14 PM
  • Hull 0 Man City 1: Teams are out on the pitch and we're back underway.
    3/15/2014 1:52:01 PM
  • Hull 0 Man City 1: If City can hold on for the win today they will jump up to second in the table and pile the pressure on Arsenal and Liverpool who both have tough away games tomorrow.
    3/15/2014 1:55:53 PM
  • Hull 0 Man City 1: Hull are really starting to make their man advantage show now with first Shane Long and then Nikica Jelavic calling Hart into action.
    3/15/2014 1:59:03 PM

  •  Jake Livermore and Fernandinho go in for a tackle

    3/15/2014 2:01:22 PM
  • Hull 0 Man City 1: Looks like it could be a case of when rather than if as to Hull's equalizer. Tom Huddlestone bends in a freekick and Long's header, nearly knocked in by several other teammates, is eventually saved by Hart.
    3/15/2014 2:03:52 PM
  • Hull 0 Man City 1: Another change for Hull as George Boyd is on for David Meyler. Hull really going for it now and smelling blood.
    3/15/2014 2:04:39 PM
  • Hull 0 Man City 1: Martin Demichelis has come in for some serious flack of late and deservedly so but today he has been immense following Kompany's departure. Organised and strong throughout so far. Is that the kiss of death??
    3/15/2014 2:07:47 PM
  • Hull 0 Man City 1: Just as I type, Demichelis nearly makes it two. Coming up from the back for a freekick but flashing he's effort over the bar.
    3/15/2014 2:09:34 PM
  • Team news from Goodison Park:

Everton: Howard, Baines, Coleman, Deulofeu, Mirallas, Distin, McCarthy, Lukaku, Barry, Osman, Stones

Cardiff: Marshall, Caulker , Medel, Campbell, Kim, Noone, Mutch, Cala, Theophile-Catherine, Fabio, John.

    3/15/2014 2:15:20 PM
  • Team news from Craven Cottage:

Fulham: Stockdale; Heitinga, Hangeland, Amorebieta, Richardson; Kasami, Kvist, Sidwell, Kacaniklic; Holtby; Woodrow

Newcastle: Krul; Yanga-Mbiwa, Coloccini, Williamson, Dummett; Sissoko, Anita, Tiote, Gouffran; de Jong; Cisse

    3/15/2014 2:16:38 PM
  • Hull 0 Man City 1: Really should have been goodnight Hull City but Fernandinho fluffs his lines. After lovely skill and build up play from David Silva again, his deflected cross falls into the path of the on rushing Brazilian who shanks wide when it looked easier to score. Massive chance gone begging for City but can Hull capitalise on that mistake?
    3/15/2014 2:20:31 PM
  • Team news from the Britannia:

Stoke: Begovic; Cameron, Shawcross, Wilson, Pieters; Odemwingie, Nzonzi, Ireland, Whelan, Arnautovic; Crouch

West Ham: Adrian, Reid, McCartney, Nolan, Tomkins, Carroll, Noble, Demel, Diame, Downing, Nocerino

    3/15/2014 2:21:42 PM
  • Hull 0 Man City 1: Lescott is now on in place of Yaya Toure and has some serious defending to do straight away.
    3/15/2014 2:23:54 PM
  • Team news from the St Mary’s:

Southampton: Boruc, Clyne, Fonte, Lovren, Shaw, Schneiderlin, S. Davis, Ward-Prowse, Lallana, Ramírez, Rodriguez

Norwich: Ruddy; Whittaker, Yobo, R Bennett, Olsson; Tettey, Johnson, Howson; Snodgrass, Pilkington, Hooper.

    3/15/2014 2:25:00 PM
  • Hull 0 Man City 1: Last role of the dice for Steve Bruce has he throws on Matty Fryatt to replace Liam Rosenior. Samir Nasri goes off for City and Jesus Navas comes on.
    3/15/2014 2:26:04 PM
  • Team news from the Stadium of Light:

Sunderland: Mannone, Bardsley, Alonso, O'Shea, Brown, Bridcutt, Ki, Larsson, Johnson, Borini, Fletcher

Crystal Palace: Speroni, Mariappa, Dann, Delaney, Ward, Bolasie, Digkacoi, Jedinak, Ledley, Ince, Murray.

    3/15/2014 2:28:18 PM
  • Hull 0 Man City 1: Into the final few minutes at the KC and Hull are still going for it but not making Joe Hart work as hard as they would like. This would be a fantastic win for Man City after the tough week that they have had to endure.
    3/15/2014 2:31:13 PM
  • Team news from the Liberty:

Swansea: Vorm, Rangel, Amat, Williams, Davies, Britton, Canas, de Guzman, Routledge, Lamah, Bony.

West Brom: Foster, Dawson, McAuley, Olsson, Reid, Morrison, Mulumbu, Dorrans, Ridgewell, Sessegnon, Anichebe

    3/15/2014 2:32:23 PM
  • Hull 0 Man City 1: Edin Dzeko has a golden chance to put it to bed but McGregor spreads well and smothers the ball. Hull get another life line but time is running out fast if they are to get anything from this one.
    3/15/2014 2:34:46 PM
  • Hull 0 Man City 2: And that will do it, Edin Dzeko makes no mistake this time and seals all three points for City.
    3/15/2014 2:35:31 PM
  • Hull 0 Man City 2: Some more quality play from City's stand out man David Silva as he dazzles his way into the box and sets up Dzeko to riffle home.
    3/15/2014 2:37:15 PM
  • Hull 0 Man City 2: David Silva can be very happy with his day's work and he earns a second or two of limelight as he is replaced by Aleksandar Kolarov with just a minute left.
    3/15/2014 2:38:45 PM
  • Hull 0 Man City 2: Full time at the KC and Man City have done well to hold off Hull and go second in the table, at least for today that is.
Hull put in a spirited display against the 10 men of City but couldn't quite find that vital way through.
