    • Leicester will be top at Christmas! The Foxes continued their superb run with a hard-fought, thrilling victory at Everton to stretch their lead over Arsenal to five points.
    • Manchester United pulled a goal back from Anthony Martial, but it wasn't enough to avert an embarrassing home defeat to Norwich, piling more pressure on Louis van Gaal.
    • Chelsea began life with Jose Mourinho with a comfortable 3-1 victory over Sunderland in front of a subdued Stamford Bridge.
    • Two defensive lapses from the hosts gave Spurs a 2-0 victory at Southampton.
    • A wonderful late goal from Chung-yong Lee gave Palace a 2-1 victory against Stoke.
    • And West Brom finished with nine men as Bournemouth continued their fine run of form with a 2-1 win.
