Javier Hernandez is the perfect strike partner for Harry Kane at Tottenham, writes Jimmy Bullard

The IndependentIt’s great to have the Premier League back and the opening weekend certainly didn’t disappoint. No doubt about it, the stand out result of the weekend has to be West Ham’s win at The Emirates. Many people (including me) have been touting Arsenal as title challengers, but West Ham absolutely bossed them last week. I can’t believe the boy Reece Oxford is only 16 years of age – he went toe-to-toe with the likes of Aaron Ramsey, Santi Cazorla and Mesut Ozil and did not look out of place one bit. It’s frightening to think how good that boy could be.

Mourinho press conference: An incoherent and petulant performance

The IndependentHe had threatened a walkout minutes earlier but when at last Jose Mourinho did decide to storm out of his own press conference, he made it as far as the door in the Cobham press room before he had second thoughts. The penny dropped that this would, in all likelihood, make matters worse, and in those few awkward moments, arguably the world’s most famous football manager was stood in the corner of a room looking for a way back.
