  • TEAM NEWS: Shock moves from Jurgen Klopp who has opted to start with young Divock Origi over the more experienced Daniel Sturridge in the biggest game of the season.

Remember, Champions League qualification will go to the winner of the Europa League. Elsewhere, the German has also brought back Roberto Firmino and Jordan Henderson is still not even on the bench.

We'll bring the Dortmund team as soon as it's announced.

  • DORTMUND TEAM: Thomas Tuchel makes two changes to the team that played in the first leg, with centre-back Sokratis Papasthathopoulos coming in for Sven Bender and Shinji Kagawa (who scored a brilliant goal at the weekend) for Erik Durm.

  • As you might now, Dortmund fans are planning a tribute to the 96 victims of the Hillsborough tragedy. Here are some early shots of what that may look like...

  • A little under 20 minutes till kick-off at Anfield as the Reds seek a first European semi-final since 2010
    4/14/2016 6:44:28 PM
  • Jurgen Klopp's side have lost just one of their last 14 matches in normal time - going down 3-2 at Southampton last month.
    4/14/2016 6:46:22 PM
  • That run did include extra time against West Ham in the FA Cup and Manchester City, in the League Cup, both matches that Liverpool lost - so perhaps an additional half-hour would not be best for the Reds tonight!
    4/14/2016 6:47:23 PM
  • Dortmund, however, are unbeaten since Christmas, although draws in their last two games represents their worst run in five months. They have not gone three winless matches since early October.
    4/14/2016 6:50:08 PM
  • Fair to say Klopp has enjoyed his evening thus far. Talking about the team coach's entrance through the supporters earlier this evening: "Don't know how to say... goosebumps, well hello!"
    4/14/2016 6:56:42 PM
  • The scarves are held aloft and a certain song is belted out by both sets of fans. Temperature rising..

    4/14/2016 7:10:49 PM

  • 5 min GOAL! Mkhitaryan opens the scoring, knocking into an empty net after Mignolet denies Aubameyang. Not the start Liverpool wanted, and it all stemmed from Coutinho giving the ball away in his own half.

    4/14/2016 7:12:47 PM

  • 9 min GOAL! Aubameyang makes it 2-0 to Dortmund and this is quickly turning into an awful evening for the Red men. The prolific forward, who scored three times against Tottenham in the previous round, runs into the box on the right hand side before lashing high past Mignolet for his 37th of the campaign. Trailing on away goals, the famed Anfield atmosphere will have to go some to rouse and rescue Klopp's men from this.

  • It's taken me longer to spell his name than it has Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to put Dortmund in complete command at Anfield.

    4/14/2016 9:08:13 PM
  • "We can tell our children and grandchildren," Divock Origi, scorer of Liverpool's first tonight, has said amid the deafening celebrations on the Anfield pitch. "When we scored the first goal we felt it was going to be a special moment." Matchwinner Dejan Lovren spoke of his injury-time heroics: "It's an amazing feeling. It's one of the best games in the last two or three years. We never stopped believing in ourselves. It is a great effort from everyone. We didn't expect we would start like we did."
Fellow central defender Mamadou Sakho, who scored the hosts' equaliser on the night, added: "The most important thing was the team played with heart and the fans never leave us. It's a win for the Liverpool country." Quite. The Klopp fairytale lives on, six months in.
