As it happened: Andy Coulson at the Leveson Inquiry
Coulson is now under pressure about what he knew about the Sun's dramatic switch to the Conservatives in September 2009 - on the night of Gordon Brown's keynote speech to the Labour Party conference. The suspicion - being alluded to by Robert Jay - is that the switch was part of a concerted deal - or at least an understanding - between David Cameron and Rupert Murdoch that a Conservative administration would be good for News Corp. As we now know - thanks to the Leveson Inquiry - the office of the Conservative Culture Secretary, Jeremy Hunt secretly slipped News Corp inside information about what was supposed to be an impartial decision about News Corp's takeover of BSkyB DURING the bid.by m.hickman 5/10/2012 2:49:56 PM
