    1/31/2012 10:00:18 PM
  • An exciting night in the Premier League, but now we return to transfer deadline day. Unfortunately, that's not quite so exciting, with few big money moves so far and just a couple of deals seemingly left on the table with one hour to go. They include Bobby Zamora's proposed switch from Fulham to QPR and Louis Saha's move to Tottenham from Everton. The other possible big move involves Roman Pavlyuchenko, who is reportedly in talks with Lokomotiv Moscow.
    1/31/2012 10:03:25 PM
  • The Independent's Martin Hardy says the deals for Louis Saha and Roman Pavlyuchenko are on.

  • The BBC are reporting that Chelsea have completed the signing of Nottingham Forest's teenage striker Patrick Bamford, for a fee of £1.5m.
    1/31/2012 10:20:28 PM
  • Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp says he tried to sign Milos Krasic this week but the deal broke down when Juventus insisted it was a permanent deal and Spurs would only agree to a loan. He also claims Wolves want to sign Sebastien Bassong, a deal which could still happen.
    1/31/2012 10:22:35 PM
  • Freddie Ljungberg is trending on Twitter. He's reportedly signed for MK Dons. Surely that can't be true...
    1/31/2012 10:31:18 PM
  • The Independent's Sam Wallace on Twitter with the latest from Tottenham:
"Redknapp bringing Ryan Nelsen in from #BRFC. Bassong to #Wolves. Pavlyuchenko to Lokomotiv. Pienaar unlikely to go to #EFC on loan"
"Even for Redknapp that was lot of info for one press conference. Failed to get Krasic from Juventus. Saha has signed until end of season"
    1/31/2012 10:33:26 PM
  • Ryan Nelson and Louis Saha. Somebody wake me up....are we back in mid-table mediocrity? #THFC
  • More from Sam Wallace on Twitter:
"#THFC sign Saha until end of season with an option for another year. Redknapp says Pienaar wants loan to #EFC but won't be released"
    1/31/2012 10:34:50 PM
  • Everton manager David Moyes has confirmed the club have given permission to striker Louis Saha to hold transfer talks with Tottenham.
    1/31/2012 10:35:46 PM
  • Spurs manager Harry Redknapp on the impending arrival of Louis Saha: "I think he'll be a good player for Tottenham".
    1/31/2012 10:41:39 PM
  • So lots happening at Tottenham (as usual). All of the major deals appear to be coming in or out of White Hart Lane. Except Bobby Zamora that is, who is still to complete a switch to QPR.
    1/31/2012 10:43:53 PM
  • When Zamora takes the lead headline its the worst deadline day ever
  • West Ham have agreed a £1.5m deal for Bristol City strikerNicky Maynard according to Sky Sports.
    1/31/2012 10:45:29 PM

    1/31/2012 10:47:26 PM

    1/31/2012 10:53:23 PM
  • David Pizarro and Bobby Zamora have been the deals of the day for me, nice to see Djribil Cisse back in the Premier league too #deadlineday
  • So all the major deals we had been waiting on are complete. Louis Saha has joined Spurs and Bobby Zamora has gone to QPR. Manchester City also completed their loan move for David Pizarro.
    1/31/2012 10:59:51 PM
  • It's now 11pm and the TRANSFER WINDOW HAS CLOSED. Despite that, we're still waiting on a few deals, mostly concerning Tottenham.
    1/31/2012 11:01:09 PM
  • Tottenham are in for Blackburn defender Ryan Nelson, which if goes through, would mean Sebastien Bassong leaves for Wolves. Roman Pavlyuchenko meanwhile could still depart for Lokomotiv Moscow.
    1/31/2012 11:03:45 PM
  • Bobby Zamora on his move to QPR: "I think this was the right time for me to have a fresh challenge."
    1/31/2012 11:06:03 PM

    1/31/2012 11:11:51 PM
  • DONE DEAL: Wolves have completed a deal for 25-year-old Tottenham centre-back Sebastien Bassong on loan for the rest of the season.
    1/31/2012 11:16:52 PM
  • Harry Redknapp talking earlier said Sebastien Bassong would only be allowed to leave if Tottenham had a replacement lined up, which presumably means Ryan Nelson is due to join from Blackburn.
    1/31/2012 11:19:57 PM
  • At this stage it would appear that most of the major deals we were expecting to be done have been confirmed. There are two outstanding transfers we are waiting for news on - Roman Pavlyuchenko leaving Tottenham and Ryan Nelson arriving. Sordell's move to Bolton is yet to be confirmed as well.
    1/31/2012 11:24:34 PM
