It's an Arsenal signing, but rather a typical one. No-one has heard of him and he's a teenager. A bit more specifically, Thomas Eisfeld is a 19-year-old attacking midfielder who came through the ranks at Borussia Dortmund. He suffered a serious knee injury in 2009 and it's expected he will play below the Arsenal first team this season. It's understood the German cost around £400,000. -

Sunderland have signed former Liverpool defender Sotirios Kyrgiakos from German side Wolfsburg on loan until the end of the season.by Femstec via twitter 1/31/2012 7:10:23 PM -
We thought his days were numbered but now he plays here every week. We can't pronounce his surname so we call him Nick the Greek! #kyrgiakosby havardsale via twitter 1/31/2012 7:10:37 PM -
Arsenal's new signing Thomas Eisfeld says: "It's a real honour to be team-mates with the great players at Arsenal, and also training every day with players like Tomas Rosicky - who I grew up watching play at Dortmund." Speaking on the addition, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger said: "Thomas is a player we have liked for some time. We've watched him closely this season, where he has excelled for Dortmund's youth team. He is young but has proven to us that he can play, that he has the attitude and technical ability to be a valuable addition to our squad. We're very pleased to welcome him to the club and look forward to his contribution in the coming seasons." -
Louis Saha was missing from Everton's teamsheet for tonight's Barclays Premier League clash against Manchester City, fuelling the speculation he could be leaving Goodison Park and heading for Tottenham. There's more on that here... www.independent.co.uk -

Another player not included in action tonight is Tottenham's Roman Pavlyuchenko, who doesn't even make the bench. There have been rumours that he is to be sold, with his representative earlier today saying: "We are in negotiations with [Tottenham chairman, Daniel] Levy. Tonight everything will be sorted out." -

As we stand at the moment on the transfer front, we are waiting for confirmation of Nikica Jelavic's switch from Rangers to Everton. A fee has been agreed and the striker is talking to the Toffees. Should he arrive, Louis Saha will leave for Tottenham. If Saha arrives, Roman Pavlyuchenko will join Lokomotiv Moscow. How's that for a transfer merry-go-round. Also, Bobby Zamora remains in talks with QPR about a switch from Fulham. -

god knows what AVB is upto ..he needs some serious fire power upfront ..i guess he is scared of spending as it will increase the pressure of results on him.. he should be brave enough and try hard to sign guys like hazard, higuain, cavani, gotze, kaka, hulk or at least krasic or modric .. damn ,AVB is being cowardish :( -
