January transfer window deadline day

Keep up-to-date with all the latest news and rumours right here on deadline day of the 2012 January transfer window.

  • Michael Jackson seen outside Craven cottage.....Oh wait a minute
  • OMG!!! Lindegaard (left training on crutches yesterday) and De Gea (sickness) are both gonna miss the Stoke clash. Quick Ferguson buy a Goalkeeper!!!
    1/31/2012 4:36:22 PM
  • Pienaar going back to Everton in exchange for Saha? Krasic on loan? Maybe Saha isn't the BEST move, but it's certainly not a bad one. I can only hope the Krasic loan works out. Maybe it can be loan-to-buy. That would be great for Spurs.
    1/31/2012 4:36:38 PM
  • The Carlos Tevez transfer saga (it must always be called a saga) is no closer to coming to an end. AC Milan are still rumoured to be interested.
    1/31/2012 4:40:53 PM
  • Rangers have confirmed they have had a bid for Norwich striker Grant Holt turned down by the Barclays Premier League club.
    1/31/2012 4:42:47 PM
  • Rangers trying to replace Nikica Jelavic with Grant Holt. Really??? Fans can't be too happy with that.
  • Sky Sports are reporting that Fulham have given QPR permission to talk to Bobby Zamora.
    1/31/2012 4:55:30 PM
  • So with 6 hours to go - the big deals we know about that could come off today are Bobby Zamora to QPR, Nikica Jelavic and possibly Steven Pianaar to Everton, potentially Louis Saha and/or Hugo Rodallega to Tottenham, Carlos Tevez to AC Milan, Ravel Morrison to West Ham and Pavel Pogrebnyak to Fulham.
    1/31/2012 4:59:38 PM
  • Djibril Cisse will be available for QPR in their match against away to Aston Villa tomorrow night.
    1/31/2012 5:00:16 PM
  • With all due respect, the names flying around today aren't quite in the same bracket as the Fernando Torres / Luis Suarez / Andy Carroll merry-go-round of last year's January transfer window. But with 6 hours remaining, I won't be ruling out any last minute big-name moves. You'll hear all about it right here as we take you through to the 11pm deadline...
    1/31/2012 5:02:23 PM
  • Manchester United have been quiet. Too quiet. I wonder if they're up to something!
    1/31/2012 5:04:19 PM
  • There goes Fredrico Machedas chances of first team action at QPR!
    1/31/2012 5:04:29 PM
  • Thats Papiss Cisse and Djibril Cisse in the same month! Double the Cisse, double the fun.
    1/31/2012 5:04:56 PM
  • Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp made no secret of his desire to bring in a striker during this window but Louis Saha is a surprise. The Frenchman is 33-years-old and there's no doubt his career is in decline, and has been for some time. Any thoughts readers?
    1/31/2012 5:08:18 PM
  • Last year there was £225m spent on deadline day. So far this year there's been less than £20m, with Kevin de Bruyne's switch to Chelsea, reportedly for around £7m and Djibril Cisse's arrival at QPR for around £4m the biggest moves so far. Uefa's Financial Fair Play rules are perhaps beginning to show their effect.
    1/31/2012 5:10:47 PM
  • Jamie Jackson of the Guardian Tweets: Zamora deal still a long way off completion i'm hearing #qprfc #ffc
    1/31/2012 5:12:06 PM
  • Some suggestions on the internet that Bobby Zamora could try and spark a bidding war for his services with QPR and Tottenham. We know QPR are in the hunt but Tottenham would be a new twist surrounding the future of the England striker. With Spurs seemingly interested in Louis Saha, we know they are open to signing an older player, and it would have to be said that on current form, the Fulham man is a better option than Saha.
    1/31/2012 5:17:54 PM
  • Saha is an extremely short term solution. I would much rather Spurs look elsewhere, but he still is a good player
    1/31/2012 5:18:05 PM
  • Harry Redknapp was right when he said he couldn't spell - he asked for Zahar and got Saha!
  • Looking forward to see what unfolds tonight on #deadlineday will there be any big surprises? Saha and Zamora the biggest so far!
  • Djibril Cisse on joining QPR: "When I talked to the manager (Mark Hughes), he spoke highly of the club and where he wants to take it over the next few years. He wanted to sign me at Manchester City and now I am finally here with him at QPR.
    1/31/2012 5:22:08 PM
  • Cant wait to see QPR's line up tommmorow!
    1/31/2012 5:27:09 PM
  • Sky Sports reporting that Watford have given Wigan permission to speak to defender Adrian Mariappa.
    1/31/2012 5:28:05 PM
  • A few players who have been linked with moves throughout the window have mysteriously fallen off the radar today. Chris Samba, who handed in a transfer request at Blackburn appears to be staying at Ewood Park. Another player who appears to be remaining in Lancashire is Junior Hoilett, who is out of contract in the summer. Fulham's Andrew Johnson is another who is out of contract at the end of the season and had been linked with a move away. We also heard that Dimitar Berbatov could be leaving United and that Florent Malouda, Salomon Kalou, Didier Drogba and Jose Bosingwa were destined for the Chelsea exit. None of these players is being strongly linked with a transfer today - at least not yet...
