Fulham are closing in on a £3m swoop for Stuttgart striker Pavel Pogrebnyak according to reports. It's complicated by work permit issues for the Russian international. Should the deal go through, it could pave the way for Bobby Zamora's departure, and perhaps Andrew Johnson's. -
Pavel Pogrebnyak.. Has completed his medical at Fulham, now it's just down to getting a Work Permit #transferdeadlinedayby jordannstweet via twitter 1/31/2012 2:36:35 PM -

In the absense of Harry Redknapp, it's been left to coach Joe Jordan to keep the rumour mill spinning at Tottenham. He's doing a fine job as well, refusing to rule out the possibility of Juventus winger Milos Krasic making a move to White Hart Lane. -
Krasic to Spurs? Would be another Redknapp masterstroke... although it stifles Aaron Lennon doesnt it which is bad for #England #thfcby 9_Hendo via twitter 1/31/2012 2:41:03 PM -
Everton are in talks to bring in Manchester City winger Adam Johnson on loan according to various reports. Would be a great signing for the Toffees and would provide the young Englishman with a platform on which to fight for an England place for Euro 2012. -
Adam Johnson + Mancini do have a strange relationship. wouldn't be that surprising if he went #mcfc #efcby richardb212 via twitter 1/31/2012 2:46:14 PM -
The lack of cash at Goodison Park has meant little excitement for Everton fans during the transfer window over the past few years. But not today. They have had a bid for Rangers striker Nikica Jelavic accepted and are now being linked with Manchester City's Adam Johnson. Although it's not all good news as striker Louis Saha has been linked with a move to Tottenham. -

Wigan chairman Dave Whelan has confirmed that Fulham striker Andrew Johnson rejected a move to the DW Stadium. "I've no idea why Johnson said no, I think he didn't fancy coming north. It would have been a good deal for us, but that's football," he said. -

Some more comments from Wigan chaiman Dave Whelan, this time on Tottenham: "We are used to Tottenham making a last-minute bid on transfer deadline day, and by last minute, I mean the very last minute," he told ESPN. "I have seen Spurs linked with (Hugo) Rodallega for some time, but we have not received a bid, not even an enquiry as far as I know." -
Here's a round-up of the biggest stories today. The biggest confirmed move so far is Kevin de Bruyne joining Chelsea - although he's been loaned straight back to Genk for the rest of the season. The only other major move in the Premier League is Wayne Bridge joining Sunderland on loan from Manchester City. Of the possible deals, QPR are reportedly on the verge of signing Fulham striker Bobby Zamora and Lazio hitman Dibril Cisse. The Carlos Tevez sage rumbles on, with reports AC Milan will make a late, late bid for the City striker. City may also lose Switzerland Under-17 skipper Frederic Veseli to rivals Manchester United. Going in the other direction at the Etihad appears to be Chilean midfielder David Pizarro, who is expected to join on loan from Roma. Manchester United prodigy (and badboy) Ravel Morrison is having a medical at West Ham. Blackburn announced the signing of former Halmstad winger Marcus Olsson. Bolton have had a £6m offer turned down by Middlesbrough for Rhys Williams and Birmingham's Liam Ridgewell was poised to join West Brom. Newcastle manager Alan Pardew said the Magpies had made their final bid for Watford defender Adrian Mariappa - also a reported target of Wigan, who have reportedly had a bid accepted. Elsewhere, it is rumoured that Tottenham are interested in two forwards, the Latics' Hugo Rodallega and Everton's Louis Saha, and that Arsenal's Andrei Arshavin could be destined for a return to his native Russia with Anzhi Makhachkala. -
DONE DEAL: QPR have completed the signing of Lazio striker Djibril Cisse, for a fee in the region of £4m. www.independent.co.uk -

Fulham midfielder Pajtim Kasami has ended transfer speculation by pledging to stay with the west Londoners. He said on Twitter: "I m really happy at Fulham and I'm not going anywhere." Linked with Juventus, he continued: "I will fight for my place in the team! Thanks for all the big support!" -

Roman Pavlyuchenko has been linked with a move away from Tottenham today. His representative Oleg Artemov, meanwhile, has denied reports the Russian striker fell out with members of Tottenham's training staff on Sunday. "All this about the conflict with the coach is rubbish. There was no conflict, the scenario was entirely dreamt up." Regading a transfer he said: "We are in negotiations with [Tottenham chairman, Daniel] Levy. Tonight everything will be sorted out." -
