78 min: Iniesta wins Spain a corner. It's taken short and worked over to the right-hand side but Ramos loses control and it's behind for a goal kick.
80 min: Shocker of a miss from Pedro, but luckily for him he was offside anyway. Fantastic counter attack which ends with Alba crossing across the face of goal where Pedro is free at the back post. His shot misses the target completely.
81 min: Torres goes through the middle but Italy are able to push it out for a corner. It's taken short and ends with Pedro shooting lamely from distance.
81 min: Torres goes through the middle but Italy are able to push it out for a corner. It's taken short and ends with Pedro shooting lamely from distance.
83 min: Spain at walking pace now. Let's have a big finish to this one.
85 min: If it wasn't over already - it is now. And it's Fernando Torres with the goal. He's played in by Alonso and the tired Italy defence can't get to him as he passes it past Buffon into the bottom corner of the net. Calm, composed finish.
87 min: Mata is on for Iniesta. 'The Ghost' has been brilliant tonight, as he has all tournament.
88 min: The biggest win in a final is 3-0. Can Spain set yet another record on this historic night? They have!
90 min: Torres gets behind the defence and with Buffon bearing down he unselfishly tees up his Chelsea team-mate Mata who slots into an open net.
90 + 1 min: 3 minutes of added time. Italy won't have wanted to see that.
90 + 3 min: Spain looking for a fifth in the dying seconds.
90 + 3 min: Ramos tries a cheeky one that nearly comes off his heel and into the net. Buffon is there though. That would have really rubbed it in.
FT: It's all over. Spain are the winners of Euro 2012!
FT: That was a quite incredible display by Spain. I can't remember watching a final in which a team was so deserving of victory...
FT: They retained the ball superbly and for all the talk that they've gone boring, they were simply a joy to watch. They flooded players forward, made exceptional passes, shot when they could and scored four goals. You can't ask for more than that.
FT: You have to feel sorry for Italy. At 2-0 they still had a chance, if a slim one, but when Motta went off injured after 60 minutes with all the substitutes having been made they were out of it.
FT: Torres will take the golden boot award. He's scored three goals, along with five other players, but his late assist for Mata will see him pick it up. Germany striker Mario Gomez also had an assist but due to Torres playing less minutes the award goes to the Spaniard.
FT: Let us know what you made of the final by commenting above. We'll post the best ones.
FT: Balotelli had a bit of a fit there as his manager Prandelli looked to console him. Silly.
FT: Italy collecting their losers (sorry, runners-up) medals.
FT: Spain going up to collect the trophy.
FT: Casillas lifts the trophy aloft. Spain are the winners of Euro 2012 - champions of Europe again. Are we seeing the greatest international team of all time? No other has won three successive major titles.
FT: That's just about it from me on this incredible night for Spain.
FT: As the Spanish players celebrate with the trophy in Warsaw, we bring this live blog to a close. Thank you for joining me tonight. I leave you with a picture of Fernando Torres, golden boot winner of Euro 2012 and scorer of Spain's third goal. Good night.
