  • Welcome to the fourth ODI from Cardiff where the rain has stayed away and England will bowl first.
    9/14/2013 8:52:25 AM
  • England once again have opted for an unchanged side.

However Australia have brought in Nathan Coulter-Nile, who makes his ODI debut in the place of Josh Hazlewood.
    9/14/2013 9:00:27 AM
  • Jerusalem has been sung and the players are out on the pitch. Steven Finn will start things off...
    9/14/2013 9:16:03 AM
  • WICKET! Finch LBW Finn - 0
What a start! Finn traps Finch dead in front with a straight one and the Aussie man has to go.
    9/14/2013 9:16:28 AM

  • Eoin Morgan wins the toss
    by Charles Reynolds

    9/14/2013 9:20:11 AM
  • Australia 3/1 (Marsh 0, Watson 0)
Great start from England, the only runs so far have been wides and a bye. Looks like a good toss to have won from Morgan.
    9/14/2013 9:25:33 AM
  • Australia 5/1 (Marsh 1, Watson 1)
Big bad Boyd starts things off from the other end and Australia get their first runs off the bat, a thick edge from Watson down to third man and a clip down to fine leg from Marsh.
    9/14/2013 9:28:27 AM
  • Australia 11/1 (Marsh 1, Watson 6)
First boundary to Australia, Watson gets a streaky outside edge that flies over the ring and just about runs away for four on this damp outfield.

  • Finn gets Finch early on
    by Charles Reynolds

    9/14/2013 9:33:48 AM
  • WICKET! Watson c Buttler b Rankin - 6
Another breakthrough for England, this time Rankin strikes. Watson tries to flash a cover drive away but just tickles it through to the keeper.
    9/14/2013 9:34:15 AM
  • Australia 15/2 (Marsh 5, Clarke 0)
The Australian captain comes to the crease with his side in a spot of bother. Marsh takes advantage of an over-pitched delivery from Finn first ball by punching a four down the ground, but the rest of the over is scoreless. Five overs bowled.
    9/14/2013 9:40:08 AM
  • Australia 19/2 (Marsh 5, Clarke 4)
Pup gets his hands on the strike for the first time and although he gets off the mark, twice picking up two runs in the over, he doesn't totally convince as he swings and misses at three Rankin deliveries.
    9/14/2013 9:44:31 AM
  • Australia 23/2 (Marsh 9, Clarke 4)
Marsh is certainly quick to pounce on anything over pitched from Finn and he punches another straight drive down the ground for four.
    9/14/2013 9:49:07 AM
  • Australia 27/2 (Marsh 9, Clarke 8)
Clarke has his first boundary, but it's not a convincing stroke, the ball flying off an edge as he gets tucked up by a short ball. There is then a brief moment of farce as England struggle to retrieve the ball as it disappears up some tubing that is lying past the boundary rope.
    9/14/2013 9:55:47 AM
  • Australia 29/2 (Marsh 11, Clarke 8)
Good stuff this from England's opening bowlers, just two to Marsh. However it will be interesting to see how their more part-time bowlers fare. Can they keep the pressure on?
    9/14/2013 9:59:57 AM
  • Australia 31/2 (Marsh 11, Clarke 10)
Ten overs gone and Australia have started to rebuild a little after losing those early wickets. England need some good stuff from their change bowlers.
    9/14/2013 10:04:41 AM
  • Australia 41/2 (Marsh 21, Clarke 10)
Not a great start from Stokes who replaces Finn, Marsh picking up two boundaries as Australia plunder 10 from the over.
    9/14/2013 10:06:25 AM
  • Australia 50/2 (Marsh 25, Clarke 15)
Now Australia go after Rankin as both Clarke and Marsh pick up fours. Nine from the over and Australia are turning the heat up a bit.
    9/14/2013 10:11:20 AM
  • WICKET! Marsh c  Buttler b Stokes - 25
Got him! England needed that, Marsh surprised a little by a short ball from Stokes that he can only glove through to Buttler who takes a good one handed catch above his head.
    9/14/2013 10:13:45 AM
  • Australia 51/3 (Clarke 16, Bailey 0)
Good comeback over from Stokes and he has his first ODI wicket. This partnership was the one that did all the damage at Old Trafford so England will want to strike again soon.

  • The ball gets lost in some tubing

    9/14/2013 10:18:02 AM
  • REVIEW! Clarke given out LBW, he reviews...
    9/14/2013 10:19:01 AM
  • WICKET! Clarke LBW Finn - 22
The ball just clipping the bails according to Hawkeye so Clarke has to go. England on top.
    9/14/2013 10:19:51 AM
  • Australia 57/4 (Bailey 0, Voges 0)
Good call from Morgan bringing Finn back on as it reaps the wicket of Australia's captain. The tourists under a bit of pressure now.
    9/14/2013 10:24:02 AM
  • Australia 57/4 (Bailey 0, Voges 0)
A great over from Stokes, that's a maiden as Bailey swings and misses slightly loosely at a few balls outside off stump. That'll be the drinks break.
    9/14/2013 10:28:19 AM

  • Stokes celebrates the wicket of Marsh
    by Charles Reynolds

    9/14/2013 10:32:11 AM
  • Australia 59/4 (Bailey 0, Voges 2)
Finn continues and Voges eventually gets off the mark, clipping a couple off his pads from the last ball of the over to spoil the maiden.
    9/14/2013 10:35:35 AM
  • Australia 61/4 (Bailey 2, Voges 2)
Bailey also finally gets off the mark with a couple but that's his lot from the over. England perhaps regretting not picking an extra bowler here because they may struggle to keep the pressure on.
    9/14/2013 10:39:34 AM
  • Australia 67/4 (Bailey 3, Voges 6)
Rankin comes back into the attack as England press Australia further, it's good stuff until he drifts a little too leg side off the last ball of the over and is clipped very fine for four by Voges.
    9/14/2013 10:42:53 AM
  • Australia 68/4 (Bailey 4, Voges 6)
Just a single to Australia, Bailey clipping Stokes' first ball away, but otherwise England keep the shackles on.

    9/14/2013 10:46:43 AM

  • Finn celebrates the wicket of Clarke
    by Charles Reynolds

    9/14/2013 10:47:41 AM
  • Australia 71/4 (Bailey 7, Voges 6)
Good shot from Bailey, pulling a short ball over the ring of fielders. It deserved four but plugged as it landed in the damp outfield so Australia have to make do with three.
    9/14/2013 10:49:52 AM
  • Australia 73/4 (Bailey 8, Voges 6)
Just a leg side wide and a single to Australia from that over. Stokes beat the outside edge of Bailey's bat on a couple of occasions there.
    9/14/2013 10:53:34 AM
  • Australia 75/4 (Bailey 9, Voges 7)
Bopara on for the first time today and it's a solid enough start, just a single to each batsman. There will be a bit of pressure on Ravi after the good early work from England's seamers.
    9/14/2013 10:58:42 AM
  • Australia 82/4 (Bailey 11, Voges 12)
Tredwell into the attack as he and Bopara operate in tandem. It's clear Australia want to go after these two but they are not quite timing the ball at the moment.
    9/14/2013 11:04:24 AM
  • Australia 92/4 (Bailey 20, Voges 13)
Tredwell less economical in his second over as Australia pick up 10 runs including a great straight six from Bailey that flies over the bowler's head.
    9/14/2013 11:06:56 AM
  • Australia 99/4 (Bailey 21, Voges 19)
Bit streaky from Voges who gets four squirting one off the toe of his bat. England could do with another wicket here.
    9/14/2013 11:10:54 AM
  • Australia 106/4 (Bailey 23, Voges 24)
Half chance of a run out for England, but Morgan's throw is weak and wide so there's no real danger for the tourists. Hundred up for Australia.
    9/14/2013 11:14:21 AM
  • Australia 107/4 (Bailey 23, Voges 25)
Good stuff from Ravi, just a single to Voges. However some of the credit must go to Ben Stokes who pulled off a superb diving stop at backward point to stop a run-scoring opportunity.
    9/14/2013 11:16:44 AM
  • Australia 118/4 (Bailey 32, Voges 27)
Bosh! That's a huge shot from Bailey who launches Tredwell into the stand behind his head for six. England's spinner getting some tap.
    9/14/2013 11:21:56 AM
  • WICKET! Voges b Bopara - 30
St Ravi does the trick with a skiddy delivery that fools Voges and cannons into his stumps.
    9/14/2013 11:22:25 AM
  • Australia 142/5 (Bailey 52, Wade 1)
Suddenly with the loss of wicket it seemed like Australia were feeling the pressure again but Bailey launches Tredwell for another six and he moves past 50.
    9/14/2013 11:34:23 AM
  • Australia 152/5 (Bailey 53, Wade 11)
Oh dear all that good work from the fall of Voges has rather been undone as Australia take 11 runs from Bopara's over. Wade slashing away a four past backward point.
    9/14/2013 11:38:41 AM
  • Australia 160/5 (Bailey 59, Wade 11)
Australia take the batting powerplay and Stokes comes back into the attack. Bailey carves him away for four and Australia take seven from the over.
    9/14/2013 11:46:03 AM
  • Australia 164/5 (Bailey 60, Wade 14)
Finn back on and Australia nearly conspire to run themselves out but survive as there is no direct hit. Four from the over.
