  • England 131/5 (Morgan 43, Buttler 15)
England try to rebuild as Australia bring on spin at both ends. Jos Buttler has undoubted talent but can he make the most of it and actually play a key innings for England under pressure? We will soon find out...
    9/8/2013 3:37:08 PM
  • England 135/5 (Morgan 46, Buttler 16)
Just four from the over for England and the run rate will be creeping up all the time. This is going to need some serious blasting at the finish from England.
    9/8/2013 3:40:31 PM
  • REVIEW! Morgan given out LBW, he reviews instantly.
    9/8/2013 3:41:02 PM
  • NOT OUT! Morgan got an inside edge, hence the speed of his review.
    9/8/2013 3:41:36 PM
  • England 139/5 (Morgan 48, Buttler 17)
Morgan survives but time is running out slightly for England here. They need to really pick up the rate.
    9/8/2013 3:44:10 PM
  • England 145/5 (Morgan 50, Buttler 21)
That's 50 for Morgan now but England are still yet to fire properly here. Surely they are leaving things too late.
    9/8/2013 3:48:00 PM
  • England 151/5 (Morgan 52, Buttler 25)
England's required run rate is almost up to 10 an over now and there are still 17 overs left. That's going to need some serious hitting.

  • Pietersen trudges off for 60
    by Charles Reynolds

    9/8/2013 3:54:54 PM
  • WICKET! Morgan c Clarke b McKay - 54
That's the end of Morgan and probably England's slim chances too. He tries to launch one into the off side but just hits it up in the air and is easily caught by Clarke.
    9/8/2013 3:57:05 PM
  • England 163/6 (Buttler 32, Stokes 3)
The batting powerplay not going brilliantly for England so far, they now need over 10 and over and they've lost their settled batsman Morgan. Will it be a long drawn out death or are they going to go out fighting?

    9/8/2013 4:04:30 PM
  • WICKET! Stokes c Bailey b McKay - 5
That's another man down for England, Stokes pulling McKay straight up in the air and he's caught by Bailey.
    9/8/2013 4:08:08 PM
  • WICKET! Tredwell run out - 1
It's all falling apart now, Tredwell was never getting back for that second run there and England are eight down.
    9/8/2013 4:11:32 PM
  • England 173/8 (Buttler 38, Finn 0)
It's all down to Jos Butller now and England need 11 an over from the last 13 overs. This has not been a great performance from the home side.
    9/8/2013 4:14:50 PM
  • England 180/8 (Buttler 44, Finn 1)
Mitchell Johnson back into the attack and Buttler slaps him through the offside for four as England take 7 from the over.
    9/8/2013 4:21:42 PM
  • England 187/8 (Buttler 50, Finn 2)
Jos Buttler brings up his 50 in style, planting Faulkner into the stands for six. Great shot.

  • Jos Buttler picks up runs
    by Charles Reynolds

    9/8/2013 4:25:05 PM
  • England 193/8 (Buttler 55, Finn 3)
Buttler has four more but England now need over two runs every ball. This game is as good as over.
    9/8/2013 4:28:55 PM
  • England 201/8 (Buttler 62, Finn 4)
Buttler clubs another six, and this has been an excellent innings from him, but there's no way England are getting out of this one I'm afraid.

    9/8/2013 4:35:19 PM
  • England 212/8 (Buttler 71, Finn 6)
This continues to be a great knock from Buttler, he smashes another six as England take nine from the over. Can the wicket keeper complete a century?
    9/8/2013 4:41:43 PM
  • WICKET! Buttler c Johnson b Ahmed - 75
i hope I didn't jinx him, that's the end of Buttler. Great innings in a lost cause. England need 100 from their last pair here.
    9/8/2013 4:42:06 PM
  • England 226/9 (Finn 16, Rankin 0)
Who needs Jos Buttler? Steven Finn clubs a massive six and then follows it up with a four. Great hitting.
    9/8/2013 4:47:08 PM
  • WICKET! Finn c Voges b McKay - 16

    ENGLAND ALL OUT FOR 227

    AUSTRALIA WIN BY 88 RUNS
    9/8/2013 4:48:08 PM
  • That's it then, England are comfortably beaten by Australia. Not a great performance from the hosts.
    9/8/2013 4:49:08 PM
  • That's all from Old Trafford, I hope you can join us on Wednesday for the next match in this series.
