    3/18/2014 8:00:59 PM
  • 15 min: Sneijder crosses and Drogba tries an acrobatic bicycle kick but miscues his effort and it goes miles over. He made a right Drog's dinner out of that one..

  • 35 min: And Drogba goes down theatrically for the first time tonight. He challenges Ivanovic with for the ball in the air and falls to win the free-kick. But he skies the free-kick miles over. In fact he hits it so far over it nearly hits a large banner in honour of the striker in the top tier. He must have just seen his face up there and aimed for it..

  • 3/18/2014 8:25:54 PM
  • 40 min: A committed challenge from Oscar on Selcuk and he is given a yellow card. Looked to be on the harsh side there from the referee Dr. Felix Brych. Not what the doctor ordered...

  • HT: Chelsea are almost home and dry. A convincing display in the opening period sees them dominate against Galatasaray and lead 3-1 on aggregate. The Turks have been far from their best tonight, and Drogba is not looking anywhere near the unstoppable target man he was in his days as a Blue. Every Drog has its day...

    3/18/2014 9:11:49 PM
  • 67 min: Azpilcueta disposes Drogba, who has looked like a shell of the rampaging powerhouse of a forward that the fans at the Bridge remember. In fact, he now just looks Drog tired.

    3/18/2014 9:32:11 PM
  • 90 min: An evening to forget for Drogba. This time he completely misses the free-kick and the ball bounces into the hands of Cech. Was that ironic cheers from the crowd?
    3/18/2014 9:36:57 PM
  • FT: And it's all over! An incredibly comfortable night's work and now Chelsea are through to the quarter-final. Was that Drogba's most tame performance ever at Stamford Bridge? A passenger.
