  • Big cheer goes up in one of the stands as for the first time in this series, the Barmy Army's trumpeter pipes up...
    8/1/2013 11:25:53 AM
  • Australia 76/1 (Rogers 57, Khawaja 0)
Anderson keeps the pressure on Australia with a maiden. With two left handers at the crease perhaps it might soon be time for a bit of Graeme Swann...

  • Australia 76/1 (Rogers 57, Khawaja 0)
This is super stuff from Bresnan, he bowls another maiden for England. The pick undoubtedly the last ball which completely squares Khawaja up, leaving him and just missing his outside edge.

  • Tim Bresnan gets Shane Watson and is pretty happy about it...

  • Australia 77/1 (Rogers 58, Khawaja 0)
Chris Rogers brings up his 20,000th first class run, clipping an Anderson inswinger off his pads into the leg side for a single but Australia can't add any more runs from the over.
    8/1/2013 11:36:10 AM
  • Australia 80/1 (Rogers 61, Khawaja 0)
Swann comes into the attack for the first time today, replacing Bresnan and Australia pick up three, although Khawaja is yet to get off the mark.

  • REVIEW! Khawaja given out caught behind but he reviews.
    8/1/2013 11:46:53 AM
  • WICKET! Khawaja c Prior b Swann - 1
Ooooh, that's another shocker from the third umpire. It took ages and the decision was wrong. Khawaja missed that ball by about two inches. Not sure how that decision wasn't overturned.
    8/1/2013 11:49:45 AM
  • Australia 86/2 (Rogers 66, Clarke 0)
Anderson comes back into the attack to have a quick burst at Clarke before lunch and it's a fantastic over, he has the Aussie skipper playing and missing at a couple. One over to go until lunch.
    8/1/2013 12:00:39 PM
  • LUNCH: Australia 92/2 (Rogers 67, Clarke 5)
    8/1/2013 12:05:14 PM
  • So Australia have played fairly well this morning but just can't seem to get any luck in this series, that was a shocking third umpire call. This partnership looks like being very important for the Aussies. See you after a spot of lunch...
    8/1/2013 12:09:53 PM
  • Australia 300/3 (Clarke 124, Smith 68)
Bresnan into the attack now and Australia pick up the couple they need to move to 300 much to the delight of their fans here. The Barmy Army launch into a retaliatory version of 'God Save Your Queen' but you feel it's scant consolation for them.
    8/1/2013 5:26:45 PM
  • Last over of the day coming up from Brezdog...
    8/1/2013 5:32:09 PM
  • Australia 303/3 (Clarke 125, Smith 70)
So that's that for Australia - what a partnership from Pup and mini-Pup. Best day of the Ashes for the tourists by some way.
