  • England 250/4 (Bell 93, Bairstow 62)
Watson back into the attack to tighten things up and he does exactly that, bowling a maiden.

  • Bairstow is bowled off a no ball

    7/18/2013 4:35:00 PM
  • England 253/4 (Bell 96, Bairstow 62)
Watson bowls the first over after the drinks break and Bell drives elegantly through the covers but the ball is just hauled in before the rope and they pick up three.
    7/18/2013 4:42:05 PM
  • England 259/4 (Bell 97, Bairstow 66)
Pattinson bowls and Bell picks up a single before Bairstow has a boundary with a well struck on drive that races down the hill for four.
    7/18/2013 4:46:37 PM
  • 100 FOR IAN BELL
    7/18/2013 4:48:11 PM
  • England 267/4 (Bell 105, Bairstow 66)
That's three successive Ashes hundreds for Ian Bell, after centuries at Sydney and Trent Bridge. Another superb knock.
    7/18/2013 4:51:58 PM
  • England 267/4 (Bell 105, Bairstow 66)
Siddle back into the attack and it's a maiden. New ball just four overs away for Australia.
    7/18/2013 4:55:58 PM
  • WICKET! Bell c Clarke b Smith - 109
The part-timer makes the breakthrough. That's a bonus for Australia. Bell edging one that turned past his outside edge to Clarke at slip.
    7/18/2013 4:57:48 PM
  • England 271/5 (Bairstow 66, Prior 0)
Steve Smith does the trick for Australia. One ball after bowling a rank full toss that Bell smacks away for four, he removes England's centurion.
    7/18/2013 5:00:48 PM
  • England 271/5 (Bairstow 66, Prior 0)
It's another maiden from Peter Siddle...
    7/18/2013 5:04:02 PM
  • England 274/5 (Bairstow 67, Prior 2)
Smith continues and concedes just three before Siddle bowls his third successive maiden.
    7/18/2013 5:12:11 PM
  • WICKET! Bairstow c and b Smith - 67
Oh no! That's a soft dismissal from Bairstow. Just patting a low full toss straight back to Smith.
    7/18/2013 5:12:50 PM

  • Ian Bell makes 100
by Charles Reynolds on Jul 18, 2013 at 5:18 PM

    7/18/2013 5:18:37 PM
  • England 279/6 (Prior 2, Bresnan 5)
No new ball taken by Australia yet and Siddle bowls a maiden.
    7/18/2013 5:21:57 PM
  • England 283/6 (Prior 4, Bresnan 5)
Smith continues as Australia delay the new ball further and Prior picks up his first boundary cutting away through third man for four.
    7/18/2013 5:24:12 PM
  • WICKET! Prior c Haddin b Smith - 6
What a spell this has been from Smith! He has a third victim as Prior tries to cut one and only manages to edge it through to the keeper.
    7/18/2013 5:29:14 PM
  • England 283/7 (Bresnan 5, Anderson 0)
England appear to sent a nightwatchman in to protect Broad and Swann...
    7/18/2013 5:34:58 PM
  • England 285/7 (Bresnan 6, Anderson 1)
Harris continues with the old ball and England pick up a couple. I don't personally think sending Anderson in ahead of Broad and Swann is necessarily a bad idea. He is better defensively than Broad who's attacking shots could add useful runs against the new ball tomorrow.
    7/18/2013 5:39:14 PM
    7/18/2013 5:42:34 PM
  • England 287/7 (Bresnan 7, Anderson 2)
Harris with the new ball now and it's a maiden. Just one to come now today.
    7/18/2013 5:45:18 PM
  • England 289/7 (Bresnan 7, Anderson 4)
Just a couple to Anderson and that's it for today. Australia have had the better of things I would say.
    7/18/2013 5:49:41 PM
    7/18/2013 5:50:08 PM
  • Steve Smith loves Lord's. He has 6 Test wickets at 11.50 there; at all other grounds he averages 232.
