  • While Arsenal are the main attraction in today's draw, the news that Celtic will join them was certainly a surprise:
Celtic have been reinstated to the Champions League after Uefa ruled a Legia Warsaw player was ineligible to play in the 6-1 qualifying win over Ronny Deila's side.

  • Here's how the draw is structured:
Automatic entrants: Arsenal, Athletic Bilbao, Bayer Leverkusen, Napoli and FC Porto.
    League route
Seeded: Arsenal (ENG), FC Porto (POR), Zenit St Petersburg (RUS), Bayer Leverkusen (GER), Napoli (ITA)
Unseeded: Athletic Bilbao (ESP), Lille (FRA), FC Copenhagen (DEN), Standard Liège (BEL), Beşiktaş (TUR)
    Champions route
Seeded: FC Salzburg (AUT), Steaua Bucureşt (ROU), APOEL FC (CYP), BATE Borisov (BLR), PFC Ludogorets Razgrad (BUL)
Unseeded: NK Maribor (SVN), Celtic (SCO), Slovan Bratislava (SVK), Malmö (SWE), Aalborg (DEN)

The ten clubs who qualified by the league route will be drawn together, meaning each team in the seeded pot will face a side in the unseeded pot.
Likewise, the 10 clubs who qualified via the champions route will face each other, meaning Celtic will face one of the seeded teams who won their respective leagues. Got it?

  • We're underway in Nyon as the friendly face of Uefa General Secretary Gianni Infantino takes to the stage for the introductions. Michel Platini won't be in attendance today, as Infantino apologises for his absence.

  • Infantino has now been joined on stage by Uefa Competition Director Giorgio Marchetti, who is explaining how the draw will work. Of course, we've already been through that.
