    6/25/2014 12:11:28 PM
  • Andy Murray * 1-0 Blaz Rola
A nervous start for Rola, "in the biggest match of his career". He was dominated by that Murray backhand there, and like the England football captain Steven Gerrard, he is broken already.
    6/25/2014 12:14:36 PM

  • 6/25/2014 12:15:20 PM
  • Andy Murray 2-0 Blaz Rola *
An improvement on the first match for the Slovenian, Rola brought it up to deuce there, but in the end could not keep up with Murray's movement as the champion prevailed.
    6/25/2014 12:19:19 PM

  • 6/25/2014 12:20:16 PM
  • Andy Murray* 2-1 Blaz Rola
After that shaky, and understandably nervy start, Rola is certainly growing in confidence. Murray takes two points but Rola's power from the baseline saw him through there. There will be no first-set 'bagel' here.

    6/25/2014 12:23:04 PM
  • Andy Murray 3-1 Blaz Rola*
Some flashes of brilliance from Rola, taking Murray to break point there, but Murray pulls it back to hold his serve. A gentle spar for Murray so far.
    6/25/2014 12:28:29 PM
  • Andy Murray *4-1 Blaz Rola
What a shot for Murray to bring it to 40-15 with a deft lob over Rola to set him on the way for his second break. Those "Murray in a hurry" headlines really do write themselves...
    6/25/2014 12:31:17 PM
  • Andy Murray 5-1 Blaz Rola*
The champion is closing in on taking the first set in under 30 minutes after looking unstoppable in that game, Rola just cannot handle him. One more break and the set is his.
    6/25/2014 12:36:22 PM
Another break, and despite Rola battling back to deuce twice, Murray has just been too hot for Rola today on the scorching Court One. 28 minutes played, and the first set is Murray's already.
    6/25/2014 12:40:01 PM
  • Andy Murray 6-1 1-0 Blaz Rola*
Encouraging start to the second set for Rola, he took Murray to break point there, but a couple of aces, more terrific backhand action and Murray takes the game.
    6/25/2014 12:47:25 PM
  • 6/25/2014 12:48:14 PM
  • Andy Murray* 6-1 2-0 Blaz Rola
Murray powers to a quick break, powering past the Slovenian with some fine baseline work. He really is rattling through it now...
    6/25/2014 12:51:46 PM
  • Andy Murray 6-1 3-0 Blaz Rola*
Just the one point won for Rola in that game. Murray is in cruise control on Court One. One foot in the third round? Most certainly.
    6/25/2014 12:54:16 PM
  • Andy Murray * 6-1 4-0 Blaz Rola
And Rola is broken again, but did show more fight. It took a double break for Murray to take the game. 49 minutes played, can he wrap up two sets in under an hour?
    6/25/2014 1:00:50 PM

  • 6/25/2014 1:01:07 PM
  • Andy Murray 6-1 5-0 Blaz Rola*
No doughnut in the first set, but Murray is well on course to record one in the second. Too much power for his opponent. He is closing in on the second set in rapid time.
    6/25/2014 1:06:36 PM
  • Andy Murray* 6-1 5-1 Blaz Rola
A small section cheers fill Court One as Rola wins a game in the second set. Some sloppy play from the net allows Rola to take the game. Murray will now serve for the set.
    6/25/2014 1:11:11 PM
Rola doesn't win a point as Murray serves up the aces to win the second set. One hour precisely played on Court One. The champion is making this look very easy indeed.
    6/25/2014 1:13:20 PM

  • 6/25/2014 1:13:56 PM
  • Andy Murray* 6-1, 6-1, 1-0 Blaz Rola
A delightful array of shots bewildered Rola. He's broken already. If this was a boxing match Rola would have been pulled out by his corner by now...
    6/25/2014 1:17:53 PM
  • Andy Murray 6-1, 6-1, 2-0 Blaz Rola*
Murray must have had harder practice matches than this. A stroll to the third round in every sense of the word. He is mastering every angle of the court.
    6/25/2014 1:21:01 PM

  • 6/25/2014 1:21:35 PM
  • Andy Murray* 6-1, 6-1, 3-0 Blaz Rola
And Rola is broken yet again, he has no answer to the Murray forehand, and is beginning to noticeably tire.
    6/25/2014 1:26:26 PM
  • Andy Murray 6-1, 6-1, 4-0 Blaz Rola*
Murray thrashes his serve, Rola can only find the net on his returnm and the third round is calling for the champ. Just under 1hr 20min played.
    6/25/2014 1:30:51 PM
  • Andy Murray* 6-1, 6-1, 5-0 Blaz Rola
An absolute walk-over, or Rol-over on Court One. Murray now serves for the match.
    6/25/2014 1:33:27 PM
  • ANDY MURRAY WINS 6-1, 6-1, 6-0
Fittingly for such a dominant performance, Murray ends with a bagel. You can only beat what is in front of you, and Rola looked every inch the world no 92, while Murray looked every inch the defending champion.
    6/25/2014 1:36:48 PM
